  "textContent": "As we watch and hear fireworks displays, attend parades, and enjoy time with family and friends while we celebrate Independence Day, my hope is that we will also pause and reflect. Despite all the gloom and doom we are bombarded with on a daily basis, there is also much to be thankful for as we remember what our forefathers accomplished 250 years ago today. While my intention is not to sound overly maudlin or obvious, I am grateful every single day for living in the land of the free and the home of the brave. We should also never forget why we still enjoy the freedoms we have in this country.",
