  "textContent": "Every spring/ summer here at the shelter, we have a wonderful spike in a certain sector of breeds that find themselves in need of a helping hand. Our staff has lovingly called this special time of the year Hound-A-Palooza! Normally we get lots of beagles running around hunting for rabbits and being misplaced, however this year they must have heard the Treeing Walker Hound was named Kentucky’s state dog and we have had our hands full with the beagles much larger and much goofier cousins. The shelter has been blessed with not 1, not even 2, but 4 of these big handsome boys in the past 2 months and we are head over paws in love with them all. On top of our 4 Treeing Walker Hounds, we also have a beautiful Plott Hound Elvis who has been lucky enough to spend his time in a foster home while waiting for his perfect family.",
