The Grammy Awards are introducing their first-ever Asian category at next year's ceremony.
The Best Asian Pop Music Performance award will go to a song featuring the meaningful use of one or more Asian languages from K-Pop, J-Pop, or C-Pop.
Reactions to this:
Ah... so Asia only exists for Korea, China, and Japan? Okay, okay
Creating a new category just to prevent Asians from winning on the main awardㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
Is there a separate category for the UK? What about North America? Europe? It's just rac*sm
It must be East Asia, not just "Asia."
...and so on. Reactions are extremely cold
original post: here
This is definitely rac*sm
Yah this is so disgusting
Seriously are they just making sure to keep K-pop in check?
Just make a K-pop award at this point f*ck
Rac*sts
There are a lot of good SEA songs, especially Indonesian
They're such losers
So they'll be using BTS
They will award us, but just not the main categories ㅋ
They're definitely not awarding us any of their main awards
