"textContent": "\"Ms. A, a woman in her 40s, visited a clinic to undergo a nose filler and jaw Botox procedure. The medical staff injected 0.4 cc of hyaluronic acid filler into the bridge of her nose, but just five minutes after the procedure, she complained of severe pain in her right eye and vision loss. The hospital immediately administered emergency treatment and transferred her to a tertiary hospital, where she was diagnosed with central retinal artery occlusion.\n\n\n\n\nDespite undergoing thrombolysis and stem cell therapy, she ultimately did not regain her vision. The Medical Arbitration Board acknowledged negligence on the part of the hospital, finding that some of the filler had been injected into a blood vessel, causing a vascular embolism, and also determined that there had been a breach of the duty to inform. Ultimately, the hospital agreed to compensate the patient 120 million won (~78K USD). Experts warn that while filler procedures on the nose and between the eyebrows are rare, these are areas with a high risk of blindness.\"\n\n\noriginal post: here\n\n\n\n\n1. Forehead fillers are famous for causing blindness\n\n\n\n\n2. It's super rare, but not getting fillers is the best thing\n\n\n\n\n3. This story is pretty well-known... It doesn't happen often, but since it does happen sometimes, it's best to be careful, especially around the eyes ㅠ\n\n\n\n\n4. It happens quite often. Seriously, injecting anything into yourself is dangerous\n\n\n\n\n5. No but for real, even something so \"simple\" is so scary...\n\n\n\n\n6. I've heard there have been cases where people died after getting Botox or fillers in the v*g*n*, too.\n\n\n\n\n\n7. I guess I took the procedure lightly, thinking it wouldn't be a big deal, but to have something so irreversible happen...\n\n\n\n\n8. Wow, scary. So fillers can be dangerous too\n\n\n\n\n9. Isn't it well known that blindness is a common side effect of nose fillers?\n\n\n\n\n10. That sounds really dangerous... But why do people get fillers between their eyebrows? Is it to make the bridge of the nose look higher? I always thought fillers were only for the tip of the nose\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNew post\n\nNext Post\n\n\n\n\n✉ PC Stories",
