"textContent": "\n\n\nPop and Kpop has never ran on hypotheticals; you are either famous or not. The idea that your favorite idol was secretly sabotaged and meant to be on the same level of fame as BTS or Blackpink is absurd. Everything is aligned to the laws of nature and certain groups are meant to fall or never find their big break because that's *just how it is*. Though its cruel, nobody is destined or bound for fame & I think more kpop fans need to come to this reckoning. The industry is always moving with an influx of new acts every single day. We live in an attention economy and there's only so many groups that can hold the spotlight for so long, especially in Korea where the population is much smaller and the general public is focused on specific groups much more than others.\n\n\n\n\nThe real reason why certain groups ended up doing better was because they planned. Most of these companies obliviously debut groups with no real long-term plan to mitigate any sort of crisis or scandal that may break out. They think everything is going to flow freely with zero foresight on any problems or troubles whatsoever, and then quit when things get tough because they realize that managing a K-pop group is actually hard.\n\n\n\n\nI think we should understand that more than ever, timing is the most important facet of this all. A group needs to be be dynamic and flexible with how they're able to recognize the climate of the industry at a certain point in time. Just look at some recent hits or groups that end up blowing up overnight - they fill a desire or gap in the market that the people crave.\n\n\n\n\nNow you may argue that some groups go through incredibly difficult situations with their companies or fellow group members and were cut-short of \"what could have been\", but that just reinforces my point that things were not meant to be, and that's okay. Living in a constant \"what if\" state is delusional because even one group's existence could shift the entire industry's system in a huge way without us ever knowing if we wanna get technical and hypothetical. It's a never-ending rabbit hole to go down. Think about all the possible group lineups that existed but never debuted - there is almost always a reason why. The universe can be very cruel and confusing, but that's just how it is.\n\n\n\n\nIt's not that K-pop fans shouldn't wonder or complain about what could have been with their favorite groups, but understand that there's a reason on why things played out the way they did. Even with all these forced hypothetical scenarios, its delusional to think your group would be exactly where you want them to be. You could give every group the exact same level of talent and the exact same \"perfect\" discography and exact same striking visuals with wonderful personalities and they could still end up flopping because the industry decided to be unfavorable.\n\n\n\n\nNew post\n\nNext Post\n\n\n\n\n✉ PC Stories",
