Steamified adds a rotational system for Luanti (which is heavily inspired by the Create mod from a certain other game).

Blocks SU means 'stress units'.

Axle : relays rotation and SU along one axis.

Cog : relays rotation and SU along three axes (front-to-back) and and up/down and left/right (only to other cogs facing the same direction).

Gearbox : relays rotation and SU along all three axes.

Water Wheel : generates 1,000 SU when adjacent to a liquid (preferably water) at 24 RPM.

Furnace Generator : generates 2,048 SU when above a lit furnace at 64 RPM.

Creative Generator : generates ∞ SU at 64 RPM.

Miner : consumes 500 SU, mines 16 blocks down (dropping items)

Stress Units SU (S tress U nits) is a system of measuring strain on a network of kinetic blocks. If a Water Wheel only generates 1,000 SU, then connecting contraptions that consume more than 1,000 SU collectively. For example, if you had two Miners connected, using 500 SU each; 500 * 2 = 1,000, which is less than or equal to 1,000, meaning the network is not overstressed. Adding even one more SU consumer would overstress the network, causing it to halt.

Hovering over any Steamified node shows you how much SU is used (and the limit), as well as the rotational speed.
