Gundu need a good sunny patch for filter-feeding, and a deep dark place to lay eggs. They can die of old age, or very cold weather. Hot weather is not very dangerous to them, being in the water, but ice is a killer. Pegasuns are omnivores, and can eat plants or insects. They like a lot of space, and will enjoy having a roofed area so they can shelter from the weather.
