"textContent": "Suggested Alterations:\nLava Generator - Override Burntime to 1, Override fluid consumption to 1 milli-bucket\nDucted Biofluid Generator - Increase Output to 32, decrease burntime to 2 (if you want to retain fuel efficiency ratio)\nSolar Panel - Half output to 4 EpU, change the clear sky check to longer intervals to decrease lag\n\nReasons:\nLava Generator completely consumes the lava. Meaning you don't get any back for lava heating, say, if you have Basic_Machines to do so with (using the grinder). It also requires either handfeeding, or finding a lava pocket and tubing it up-which is a very finite resource. Especially when many other mods (and base game crafting) use Obsidian for things, which means there's a significant resource avaliability conflict. Therefore, spending it generating power should be highly effective.\n\nLiquid Fuel Generator is expensive. It is also MADE FROM a coal-fired generator. To have it produce *even less* energy than one, seems ridiculous to me. Besides, it takes resources that could probably make about three of them, as well as requiring ducting, and more infrastructure-such as a composter or other liquid fuel production plant.\n\nSolar Panel - There is no world in which you should be able to outpreform fueled generators with solar. The whole point of solar-and yes, I actually IRL have a solar array I take care of and harvest power from-is that they last a very long time, and though they don't produce much power, they require no fuel and resources.\nYou should not be able to slap down a stack of solar panels and have it outpreform a reactor with 3 times the turbines shown in the example... And, though that's very neat and cool-I think that they should just be a little bit more... moderated. For example, without going too much into it-1 square meter of real life light has, at the very parahelion of the sun in optimal conditions, 1000w/m^2 - and usually the efficiency of said solar panels is less than 25%, whereas a diesel generator that is a cubic meter in size can produce 5000 watts. And I say diesel specifically as diesels are well known for originally being fueled off of peanut oil, and with modification-and many kinds even without-can run on a variety of oils and biofuels.\n\nYes, yes, I know we're not going for realism here. Realistically, Lava Generators would probably not do anywhere near as what I'm suggesting-but at the same time, an actual *generator* using geothermal energy, would be more like your various multinode 'plant' structures, and would be built upon a geothermal source-or alternatively, above a borehole creating an artificial 'Geothermal Well' which then functions akin to a reactor in that it pumps fluid into the absorber, then up and out into turbines. Which, I'd even argue, should replace your lava generators in general, perhaps including a 'Geothermal Absorber', which is placed in an area (or structure, possibly) that is mostly lava in several nodes in all directions (higher numbers of lava nodes equal higher Cold -> Hot coolant output quantities) which then go to a heat exchanger and generate steam for turbines.\nI'd even go as far as to suggest stealing some code from the Water Accumulator in node checking. I'm prolly gonna take a break from critiquing and mole-ratting around in the code, but those are my suggestions and I would love it if you saw and took some benefit from my autistic hyperfixation on this mod.\n\nStatistics: Posted by AenVegra — Wed Mar 18, 2026 23:37\n\n* * *",
