"textContent": "Hi there! I'm interested in using biomegen with a custom lua mapgen. I have learned how to place nodes to create the basic terrain consisting of stone and water, but whether I use the Luamap mod or directly write the methods myself, I cannot get biomegen to work with my custom mapgen.\n\nThe only example that is working for me on CDB of a custom mapgen and biomegen is \"Riverflow map generator\". All the other (simpler) examples on CDB like lvm_example and mandeland fail to generate biomes, regardless of what settings I try. I imagine that they worked in the past, but something is now broken, since there are screenshots with biomes on CDB. I have also tried in vain to imitate the behavior of Riverflow map generator but I'm not sure what I'm missing since so many parts of it are unique to that mod, and of course I don't want to be running a bunch of superfluous code. Is there a working minimal example of biomegen working with a custom lua mapgen?\n\nI'm on Luanti 5.15.1 on Linux. Thanks for any help you can provide, this looks like a great project!\n\nStatistics: Posted by plasmids — Thu Mar 12, 2026 22:10\n\n* * *",
