I'm generally in favor of restricting social media for children, but only if both parents and (to a reasonable degree) children are aware _why_ those restrictions are in place and why it would mostly just hurt them mentally and socially to hop on social media early on, as otherwise they won't be nearly as effective IMHO.\n\nThe problem is, what about the cut-offs? Obviously things like Luanti aren't social media, but what about Scratch? If things like Scratch get banned, it's only a matter of time before Luanti gets banned too.
