Nearly half of adults struggled to afford healthcare last year, survey finds

Forty-six percent of U.S. adults — regardless of insurance type — struggled to afford healthcare last year, defined as trouble paying medical bills, a family member not getting needed care due to costs or family medical debt at the time of the national survey.
