Key Bridge work to be awarded in separate contracts, in effort to keep costs down

State officials plan to split remaining work on the Francis Scott Key Bridge into four separate contracts, hoping to boost competition and lower costs, after parting ways with the current contractor over an "unacceptably high" bid on the multibillion-dollar bridge.
