Study: 2.5 million people lost food aid in months after passage of GOP megabill

At least 2.5 million low-income people lost SNAP food assistance under the One, Big Beautiful Bill that added new requirements for the nation’s largest nutrition program and shifted hundreds of millions of dollars in costs to the states, a recent report says.
