Supreme Court limits use of race to draw district maps, diluting Voting Rights Act

The U.S. Supreme Court on Wednesday significantly curtailed the consideration of race when drawing legislative maps, further weakening the Voting Rights Act which had limited states from using maps that diluted the voting power of minority citizens.
