Child care scholarship freeze could start melting soon, but not for everyone

Advocates are hoping an infusion of $20 million into the state's child care scholarship program, which has seen its enrollment frozen since May 1, 2025, will help cut the current waiting list of 5,000 families by more than half, starting next fiscal year.
