Homeland Security scales back plans for Williamsport detention center — for now

The Department of Homeland Security said in court filings Thursday that it is initially planning to hold 542 immigrants in a Williamsport warehouse it hopes to convert to a detention center, not the 1,500 that might eventually be housed there.
