Oysters reduce spread of disease among blue crabs, study shows

It's well known that oysters filter water, but a new study says they may have another benefit: Oysters may save the lives of blue crabs, by feeding on a parasite that is often deadly to crabs in saltier parts of the bay and coastal Eastern Shore.
