New data shows Maryland traffic deaths dropped to decade low

Deaths last year on Maryland roads fell below 500 for the first time since 2014, according to new data from the Maryland Department of Transportation, which said there were 480 highway deaths in 2025 compared to 621 deaths in 2023.
