Pedestrian struck, killed on outer loop of I-495 in Montgomery County

A pedestrian was struck and killed late Thursday on the outer loop of I‑495 in Montgomery County, authorities said. The incident happened around 10 p.m. prior to Exit 33 for MD 185, Connecticut Avenue. All westbound lanes were closed for several hours between Georgia Avenue and Connecticut Avenue, and traffic was redirected. The pedestrian has not been identified. The crash remains under investigation.
