Patchy fog, light drizzle and temperatures in the low 60s Thursday across the Washington, D.C., region after Wednesday’s highs in the upper 80s made it feel like summer. Morning temperatures start in the upper 50s to low 60s, which will be close to the day’s highs, says FOX 5’s Taylor Grenda. Fog may thicken at times during the commute, especially north and east of the city, though major visibility issues aren’t expected. Showers and storms that moved through late Wednesday have mostly cleared. The rest of the day stays mostly dry aside from occasional drizzle and clouds. Temperatures will vary depending on the location, running warmer to the south and west of the District and cooler to the north and east. Fog could linger into the afternoon in those cooler areas. Thursday’s high reaches around 62 degrees, but the damp air and cloud cover will keep conditions feeling cooler. Overnight lows remain in the 50s with cloudy, breezy skies. The cooldown will be brief, says FOX 5’s Tucker Barnes. Sunshine returns Friday, sending temperatures back into the 80s for what should be a warm, pleasant day. The weekend starts warm, with near‑record highs possible Saturday. A front brings a chance for showers and storms on Easter Sunday from late morning into the afternoon. Expect a big cooldown next week, with highs dropping into the 50s by Tuesday and Wednesday.
