"textContent": "Ground stops have been issued for all airports in the D.C. area due to weather.\n\nThunderstorms are expected to impact the region this evening.\n\nAs of 5 p.m., Dulles International Airport, Reagan National Airport and Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport are under ground stops.\n\nAccording to the Federal Aviation Administration's website, the ground stops were issued between 4:40 p.m, and 4:45 p.m. and are expected to stay in place until 6 p.m.\n\nThis is the third time in recent weeks that ground stops have been issued for regional airports.\n\nThe last time was on March 27, due to an issue at the area's main control tower — Potomac Consolidated TRACON (PCT).\n\nAnd back on March 14, flights were stopped after a \"strong chemical smell\" was reported at the control tower.\n\nDue to weather conditions, it's unclear if the stops will end at 6 p.m., but this will cause delays for travelers.\n\n _**Check back with FOX 5 for updates.**_",
