Power restored after outage in southeast Forest Grove

Forest Grove Light & Power restored power to customers in the southeast part of town after an outage earlier Thursday, the utility said. No injuries were reported.

The cause is under review.

Forest Grove library hosts free Repair Fair Saturday

The Forest Grove City Library holds its free annual community Repair Fair on Saturday, June 20.

"Volunteers will be on hand in the Rogers Room between 1:00 and 4:00 pm to look at and possibly fix small appliances, electronics, and toys, clothing, jewelry, computers, and mobile devices," the library said. "Please note that gas-powered items, hazardous items, vehicles, and weapons are not allowed, and volunteers do not offer clothing alteration or tailoring services."

Those who want something repaired can sign up to bring an item (limit two per attendee), and the library is seeking volunteers to help fix things.

Downtown Association raising funds to bring back Forest Grove's July 4 fireworks

The Downtown Association of Forest Grove, formerly the Forest Grove City Club, is asking for donations to fund the planned fireworks show the group is bringing back to Forest Grove on July 4.

"Thanks to our amazing community, we've raised $19,151 toward our $30,000 goal," the group said June 16, directing donors to donate online.

Hagg Lake parking pass rates rising July 1

Parking pass rates at Scoggins Valley Park/Hagg Lake will increase July 1, after the Washington County Board of Commissioners adopted the county's 2026-27 budget and fee schedule Tuesday, June 16.

Updated parking pass rates:

Daily regular pass: $7 → $10, Daily senior/veteran pass: $5 → $8, Annual regular pass: $60 → $65, Annual senior/veteran pass: $40 → $55
