  "textContent": "Turnout in the May 19 primary reached 23.19% of registered Washington County voters as of Tuesday, with ballots due at official drop boxes by 8 p.m. on Election Day.\n\nThat figure, shown on the county's voter turnout dashboard, was up from 11.6% one week earlier. Washington County has about 400,000 registered voters.\n\nVoters returning a ballot by mail must have it postmarked on or before Tuesday, county elections officials said. No stamp is needed. Ballots returned to an official drop box must be in the box by 8 p.m. Tuesday. Ballots dropped in the mail today may not be postmarked by 8 p.m., officials warned.\n\nThere are 21 official ballot drop boxes across Washington County, all open 24 hours a day. Locations nearest News in the Grove and Banks Post coverage areas include:\n\n  * Banks: Banks City Hall/Library, 42461 NW Market Street.\n  * Forest Grove: Forest Grove City Library, on Pacific Avenue near Birch Street.\n  * Cornelius: Cornelius City Hall/Library, 1355 N Barlow Street.\n  * North Plains: North Plains City Hall, 31360 NW Commercial Street.\n\n\n\nA full list of drop boxes statewide is available through the Oregon Secretary of State's drop box locator.\n\nThe Washington County Elections Office is open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday to assist voters. Voters who want help with their ballot, including those with disabilities and those who want assistance in a language other than English, can contact the office at 503-846-5800 or Elections@WashingtonCountyOR.gov.\n\nWashington County's voters' pamphlet is available online. Selected portions are translated into Arabic, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Farsi, Japanese, Khmer, Korean, Russian, Spanish, Tagalog and Vietnamese.\n\nPreliminary, unofficial results will be released shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday. Elections officials have until June 15 to finish counting and certify the results.",
