Friends of Forest Grove Library spring book sale runs May 13-16
The Friends of the Forest Grove Library will sell more than 8,000 used books, CDs, and audiobooks this week at the Forest Grove City Library, starting with a members-only preview from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 13.
General sale hours run Thursday through Saturday, May 14-16. Thursday is 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and Friday and Saturday are 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Hardback books are $3, mass market paperbacks are $1, and other paperbound books are $2. Children's and coffee table books are priced as marked. CDs and audiobooks are $1, with multi-title media sets at $3. Card and cash are accepted.
Current members of the Friends get a 20% discount on Friday, May 15. Memberships can be bought or renewed at the door — $25 individual, $50 family, or $100 sustaining.
Saturday's bag sale lets shoppers fill a standard brown paper grocery bag with books and media for $10.
Volunteers are needed for setup May 11-13, sale days, and cleanup the morning of May 18; each shift earns two free books. Reach Katie Allnutt at allnutt@frontier.com to sign up.
Money raised from the sale goes to the Friends of the Forest Grove Library, a nonprofit that supports programs at the Forest Grove City Library.
