Gales Creek Garden Club to host annual plant sale May 20

The Gales Creek Garden Club will host its annual plant sale Wednesday, May 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. inside the Gales Creek Community Church Fellowship Hall. Visitors to the sale can expect plants and miscellaneous household items for sale from garden club members. “We have a large selection of annuals and perennials,” said Gales Creek Garden Club President Joyce Sauber. Sauber said there would also be a small rummage sale of sorts; club members typically bring various items and fill a couple of tables. Sauber couldn’t confirm the attendance of students from Oak Grove Academy, but the program, located inside the former Gales Creek Elementary School, typically has a table where students sell produce from the school garden. The Gales Creek Garden Club celebrated its 50th anniversary in April. The Gales Creek Community Church is located in downtown Gales Creek at 9170 NW Sargent Road.
