Oregon lawmakers to host veterans town hall in Forest Grove Saturday

Three state legislators will host a veterans-focused town hall in Forest Grove on Saturday, April 18, from 11 a.m. to noon at the Forest Grove American Legion Hall (2003 21st Ave., Forest Grove). There, attendees will hear a recap of the 2026 short session of the Oregon Legislature from Senator James Manning Jr., Representative Paul Evans and Senator Janeen Sollman. Event organizers promised a discussion around veterans’ affairs and asked attendees to RSVP and submit questions or comments for the panel online. “This community conversation will provide an opportunity for veterans, their families, and supporters to share experiences, ask questions, and discuss the issues that matter most—from access to healthcare and housing to employment, mental health services, and state-level support programs,” event organizers said in a social media listing for the event. “Whether you’re looking for resources, want to raise a concern, or simply stay informed about policies impacting the veteran community, this town hall is a chance to engage directly with your elected officials in an open and respectful setting,” organizers added.
