  "textContent": "From Mendelssohn’s _Der Blumenstrauss_ to _Beyond My Wildest Dreams_ from _The Little Mermaid_ and a surprise rendition of _Happy Birthday_ , Pacific University’s Sydney Timm showcased her soprano chops during a recital Tuesday afternoon.\n\nTimm, a junior majoring in both music education and vocal performance, performed at the university’s Taylor-Meade Performing Arts Center, and after the planned program, led the audience in singing _Happy Birthday_ to honor her grandmother Peggy, who was celebrating her 85th birthday.\n\nAccompanied by Jennifer Hughes on the piano, Timm demonstrated her skill across 11 pieces in Italian, German, and English.\n\nTimm plans to find a job teaching and directing high school choral programs. She thanked her voice teacher Joannah Ball and Profs.
