The date is not formally finalized yet.\n\n**What to expect:** New York- and New Jersey-born smashburger franchise opening near USF with about 40 seats. The restaurant is expected to serve late-night diners, including students and nearby residents.\n\n**Menu highlights:** Smashburgers with single, double, or triple patties; Slap and Flame burger with jalapeños; Slap Melt with two patties and three cheeses; fries; in-house mac and cheese; hot dogs; loaded platters; chicken tenders; shakes; and flavored Slap Lemonade.\n\n**Hours:** Final daily hours are still to be announced.
