BAXLEY, GA — Mutt's on Main is targeting a mid-June opening at 83 S Main Street, Baxley, GA 31513, bringing a small bar and grill to a historic downtown building that owner Kristi White said once housed Barnes Pharmacy. White, who owns the business with her husband, Shaun White, told Business Debut the building is believed to date back to the 1920s and had been vacant for decades before the couple began converting it into a restaurant.

The franchised location will be operated by Chunara Group, partner Jay Shah told Business Debut. Cookie Fix will serve freshly baked cookies, desserts and drinks. They specialize in serving decadent, gooey cookies and not "plain, flat, lifeless cookies," per the website.

ATLANTA, GA A new Jamaican and American food truck from Sharmele Smiley and her husband, Evrol Rambo Smith, is preparing to launch in the greater Atlanta area. Smiley told Business Debut the food truck will travel to events and festivals with plans to serve DeKalb County, Gwinnett County, and Fulton County. Their first planned truck event is AfroFest in June at Candler Park. The food truck will focus on Jamaican grill dishes with some American additions.
