"textContent": "BAXLEY, GA — Mutt's on Main is targeting a mid-June opening at 83 S Main Street, Baxley, GA 31513, bringing a small bar and grill to a historic downtown building that owner Kristi White said once housed Barnes Pharmacy.\n\nWhite, who owns the business with her husband, Shaun White, told Business Debut the building is believed to date back to the 1920s and had been vacant for decades before the couple began converting it into a restaurant.\n\n## What to Expect\n\nMutt's on Main will be a small bar and grill with seating for about 60 to 64 guests, White told Business Debut. The restaurant will offer a full bar and a low-key atmosphere designed to be comfortable for families and guests looking for a quieter place to eat and drink.\n\n“We want you to still be able to come in with your family and enjoy it,” White told Business Debut.\n\nWhite said that they preserved several original details in the building, including woodwork on the walls and the old metal tile ceiling. The former pharmacy once had a soda fountain, and White said a replica of that soda fountain is displayed at the World of Coca-Cola in Atlanta.\n\n## Menu and Vision\n\nThe menu will focus on bar food, including chicken wings and hand-patted hamburgers made with locally grown beef from Circle F Farms, White told Business Debut. The team also plans to add a supper club-style offering with items such as steaks or thick-cut pork chops sourced locally.\n\nWhite said the name Mutt's on Main comes from her grandfather, whose nickname was Mutt.\n\n“This would have been his place,” White told Business Debut.\n\nThe Whites also own Sarah's Florist & Gifts in Baxley, a family business first opened by Shaun’s great-grandmother in 1966.\n\n## Opening Timeline\n\nThe team is targeting a mid-June opening, White told Business Debut. The couple began work on the conversion in October.\n\n## Hours\n\nMutt's on Main plans to open Wednesday through Saturday.\n\nWednesday and Thursday: 4 p.m. — 10 p.m.\nFriday and Saturday: 11 a.m. — 11 p.m.\n\n## Follow for More\n\nFollow Mutt's on Main on Facebook.\n\n* * *\n\nDrive community buzz with Business DebutWe aim to create local buzz before you even open.Business Debut | New Business Openings in the SoutheastRoss McWaters",
