  "textContent": "**ZEPHYRHILLS, FL —** Trattoria Napoli is targeting a July 23 opening at 5470 7th St., Zephyrhills, FL 33542, Chef-owner Matthew Zappoli told Business Debut. The opening timeline is contingent on construction, licensing and the certificate of occupancy.\n\nZappoli is opening the neighborhood Italian restaurant with support from his wife, Idania Reyes, who has helped with menu design and development of the concept, he told Business Debut.\n\n##\nWhat to Expect\n\nTrattoria Napoli will be a full-service Italian restaurant with a casual neighborhood feel, Zappoli told Business Debut. The restaurant is planned for about 120 seats, including a main dining room, a semiprivate dining room Zappoli is calling the pizza room, a bar and four outdoor four-top tables to start.\n\nZappoli said the space will include warm lighting, hardwood tables, olive green booths, basil green accents and black ceilings. He said one of the dishes will be Millie’s Meatballs, made from his grandmother’s recipe and served with homemade pasta.\n\nZappoli said the restaurant will roll and extrude pasta in house using Italian equipment. He also plans to serve pizza from a gas-fired Wood Stone oven, with dough made from a starter connected to a recipe he began working with years ago.\n\nOther menu items Zappoli discussed include braised short rib agnolotti with parsnip puree, Bordelaise red wine reduction and shaved Parmesan. The restaurant will also serve a Bistecca Fiorentina for two with Tuscan-style rosemary garlic oil and Parmesan roasted potatoes, made with 32 ounces of prime beef, he told Business Debut.\n\n## Background\n\nZappoli was born in Brooklyn, New York, into an Italian American family where Sunday meals and family gatherings centered on food, he told Business Debut. That led him to the Culinary Institute of America and a restaurant career that took him through New York, Las Vegas, California and Florida.\n\nHe previously opened an Italian restaurant in Long Branch, New Jersey, before spending the past 10 years with Hard Rock, where he worked his way up to director of culinary in Tampa, he told Business Debut. Zappoli said Trattoria Napoli became “the culmination of my entire life and career,” connecting his family background with 30 years of restaurant experience.\n\n## Opening Timeline\n\nTrattoria Napoli is targeting July 23, Zappoli told Business Debut.
