Antika Bringing Mediterranean Tapas and Cocktails to Marietta
MARIETTA, GA — Antika is planning to open at 34 Powder Springs St SW, Marietta, Georgia 30064, co-owner Su Mentes told Business Debut. The woman-owned restaurant is targeting a mid-June opening, pending final approval of its state liquor license, Mentes told Business Debut.
Mentes is opening Antika with partner Busrag Ozanlimen, who also owns Kiosko in Marietta Square. Mentes said Kiosko, located next door, has been open for about three years and focuses on Greek and Turkish cuisine.
What to Expect
Antika will be a small plates restaurant with a fusion menu inspired by Mediterranean countries, including Spain, Italy and Greece, Mentes told Business Debut.
The restaurant will be small inside, with about 35 to 40 seats, but Mentes said the patio will be a major part of the concept. The city recently painted a mural for the patio, which also has a historic magnolia tree, she told Business Debut.
Menu and Vision
Antika will offer small plates, craft cocktails and wine, Mentes told Business Debut. She said the restaurant is not focused on one specific cuisine, but will bring together a mix of Mediterranean influences. Mentes said the patio will also host live music.
Opening Timeline
Antika is targeting a mid-June opening. Mentes said the restaurant has been approved by the city and is waiting for the state to issue its liquor license.
“We’re basically ready to be open,” Mentes told Business Debut.
Hours
Antika plans to open at 4 p.m. during the week, Mentes told Business Debut. The restaurant also plans to offer brunch on Saturday and Sunday.
