Zaza Cuban Comfort Food — Orlando International Airport

Address: 9202 Jeff Fuqua Blvd, Orlando, FL 32827

Status: Targeting August opening (construction underway; timeline pending buildout).

What to expect: A hybrid concept branded as Zaza Bar and Cuban Cafe. Combines full-service dining, coffee shop, bar, and grab-and-go options in a ~1,500-square-foot airport space. Built for speed and convenience with bar seating and a small dining area.

Menu highlights: Cuban sandwiches pressed to order, empanadas, cassitos, guava pastries. Full bar with mojitos, sangrias, piña coladas, plus beer, wine, and liquor. Coffee remains a core offering.

Hours: Planned daily 5 a.m.–9 p.m., with flexibility during delays.

Who’s behind it: Founder Ruben Perez, supported by CEO Luis Fernandez and longtime partner Robert Coyne.

Culver’s — Auburndale

Status: Targeting Q1 2027 (pending city infrastructure completion).

What to expect: A 4,500-square-foot restaurant with dine-in seating for ~75 guests plus patio and drive-thru. Designed around Culver’s standard hospitality-focused service model.

Menu highlights: ButterBurgers, chicken and seafood, fish fry, fresh frozen custard, and Wisconsin cheese curds.

Hours: Planned Sunday–Thursday 10 a.m.–10 p.m.; Friday–Saturday 10 a.m.–11 p.m.

Who’s behind it: Owner Nathan Devine (sixth location) with operator Scott Hunt managing daily operations.

Flavors of Jamaica — Orlando

Address: 2610 S Ferncreek Ave, Orlando, FL 32806

Status: Targeting early April opening (pending final approvals).

What to expect: First full-service location for the brand with ~78 indoor seats and additional outdoor seating. Moves beyond takeout into a sit-down dining experience.

Menu highlights: Oxtails, curry goat, jerk chicken, steamed fish, curry shrimp, Jamaican breakfast items like ackee and sausage. Sides include mac and cheese, rice and beans, and traditional drinks.

Hours: Monday–Saturday 7 a.m.–10 p.m.; Sunday 7 a.m.–9 p.m.

Who’s behind it: Owner Phillippa Myers, with support from her sons Stephen and Marcus Myers.

Noods — Orlando

Status: Targeting late April opening (early summer backup timeline).

What to expect: A 35-seat full-service Thai noodle restaurant with a nostalgic, homey design inspired by Bangkok street food culture.

Menu highlights: Boat noodles, street-style noodle dishes, and everyday Thai comfort food. Focus on affordability and repeat visits.

Hours: Daily 11:30 a.m.–10 p.m.; մինչև 10:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

Hamburger Mary’s — Kissimmee

Status: Targeting early May reopening (first or second week).

What to expect: A larger venue in Old Town with indoor/outdoor bar space, full-service dining, and entertainment-driven programming. Designed as both restaurant and nightlife destination.

Hours: Expected 11 a.m.–10 p.m. daily (final hours TBD).

Who’s behind it: John Paonessa and Mike Rogier, continuing the brand after 16 years in downtown Orlando.
