"textContent": "**MELBOURNE, FL** — Salty Bagel and Grill is targeting an early May opening at 23 W Hibiscus Blvd, Melbourne, FL 32901, owners Bernard and Elizabeth Corrigan told Business Debut. The Melbourne restaurant will mark the company’s sixth location and continues the growth of the family-run bagel concept that opened its first store in Satellite Beach about five years ago.\n\nBusiness Debut learned of this story first from What Now.\n\n## What to Expect\n\nGuests can expect a bagel shop centered on fresh, in-house bagels and a menu of hot and cold sandwiches, cream cheese options, and breakfast staples. Corrigan said the company makes 24 bagel flavors daily, with additional varieties on weekends, including a ghost pepper bagel.\n\nAmong the sandwiches he highlighted were a pork roll, egg and cheese on a salt bagel and the hot honey, which includes hot honey sauce, bacon, sausage, eggs, cheese and cream cheese. The Melbourne location is expected to offer about 15 seats inside, plus additional outdoor seating if approved.\n\n## Menu and Vision\n\nCorrigan said the concept is built around consistency across all locations, with the same menu offered throughout the company’s stores. If one item is added at one shop, he said it is added everywhere.\n\nThe business also has a growing coffee program with espresso drinks, hot and iced coffee beverages, and specialty drinks. Corrigan told Business Debut the goal is to keep the experience familiar from store to store while continuing to meet strong demand.\n\nCorrigan’s backstory is tied closely to New York. He said he was born and raised in the Bronx, where his father introduced him to the bagels and food traditions that shaped the concept. Before Salty Bagel and Grill, Corrigan owned restaurants in Wilmington, North Carolina, and also spent 12 years working for UPS in New York City.\n\n## Opening Timeline\n\nThe team is shooting for the beginning of May, Corrigan told Business Debut. The Melbourne opening follows a period of fast growth after the first location opened during the COVID era.\n\nCorrigan said his children, Ryan and Paige, helped accelerate that expansion after attending FSU business school. He said the two joined the family business when there was one store, and the company has since grown to six locations.\n\n## Hours\n\nSalty Bagel and Grill plans to operate seven days a week from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.\n\n## Follow for More\n\nVisit their Website, Instagram and Facebook.\n\n\n* * *\n\nDrive community buzz with Business DebutWe aim to create local buzz before you even open.Business Debut | New Business Openings in the SoutheastRoss McWaters",
