"textContent": "**GOLDSBORO, NC** — Bahia Mexican Grill and Bar is targeting a late April or early May opening at 503 N William St, Goldsboro, NC 27530, co-owner Karina Rodriguez told Business Debut. The restaurant is working through permits and is waiting on a new gas line installation after the previous business at the site was closed for about four years, Rodriguez said.\n\n## What to Expect\n\nBahia Mexican Grill and Bar is planned as a full-service restaurant with a full bar and seven-day-a-week service, Rodriguez told Business Debut. The team expects capacity to be about 150 people once the space is finished. Rodriguez said the restaurant is also considering occasional live music.\n\n## Menu and Vision\n\nThe concept will include Mexican cuisine with a seafood component, plus Tex-Mex items, Rodriguez said. She said the name “Bahia” translates to “bay,” reflecting the seafood influence, though the menu will not be exclusively seafood. The team is also developing a weekend brunch concept.\n\nRodriguez said they want to stand out in a market with multiple Mexican restaurants. “We just want to be different,” she told Business Debut, noting their plans for Mexican brunch and seafood options.\n\n## Opening Timeline\n\nThe team is hoping to open by the end of April or the beginning of May, Rodriguez told Business Debut. A soft opening is also being considered for late April, with a fuller opening in May.\n\n## Hours\n\nPlanned hours of operation are to be announced. Rodriguez told Business Debut the restaurant expects to offer lunch and dinner service, with weekend brunch in development.\n\n## Follow for More\n\nFollow on Instagram Follow on Facebook.\n\n* * *\n\n Are you a restaurant vendor?
