"textContent": "**DURHAM, NC** - Delancey Tavern has opened in Durham, bringing a supper club-like dining room and contemporary American menu to 408 West Geer Street, Durham, NC 27701. Owner Malachy Noone, a partner in Viceroy and Hutchins Garage (also in the same building), told Business Debut the team opened quietly on Thursday, February 5th.\n\n## What to Expect\n\nThe restaurant is designed around the building’s mid-century roots, with curved lines and vintage-inspired details intended to evoke an old Vegas-style supper club feel.\n\nNoone described it as “Frank Sinatra-esque,” with the building’s beveled glass front. Inside, the layout includes a main downstairs dining room with about 90 seats and an upstairs mezzanine lounge with roughly 40 seats.\n\nThe mezzanine is set up as a more hidden, New York-style perch overlooking the restaurant, with both tucked-away seating and counter stools facing the dining room.\n\n## Menu and Vision\n\nNoone told Business Debut the menu is contemporary American, built around familiar dishes with the kitchen’s own twists.\n\nThe lineup ranges from snacks like deviled eggs to larger plates such as steaks, pork chops, short ribs and desserts made in-house.\n\nChef Derek Pierce leads the kitchen. Noone said Pierce is classically trained and previously worked at the Umstead Hotel.\n\nAlso partnered with Noone in the restaurant are Kyle Miller and Frederick Hancock.\n\n## Opening Timeline\n\nDelancey Tavern is open now, launching with what Noone described as a quieter start that’s helped the team dial in pacing and consistency ahead of busier weekends.\n\n## Hours\n\nDelancey Tavern is operating Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday from 5 p.m. — 9 p.m., and Thursday through Saturday from 5 p.m. — 10 p.m. Noone told Business Debut the team plans to add brunch service on Saturdays and Sundays in about four to six weeks.\n\n## Follow for More\n\nFollow on Instagram.\nVisit the website.\n\n* * *\n\n Are you a restaurant vendor?
