Trying to Unite a Fractured Design Community

It’s been hard to describe the feeling I have being both someone who thrives off of community but also finds it hard, with a busy job and active family to do so in person. What this means is that I, like many people pre and post pandemic am often on one of many social networks like Discord, Instagram, X, LinkedIn and Bluesky looking for “my people” but as you can imagine, with the exception of Discord it’s not an easy job, because even with Feeds and curated lists on these networks you often get lost in the shuffle of some random cultural hot take or are left to very superficial interactions. I think Discord is the closest I’ve come to finding true connection and interaction with other creatives however, the communities suffer from gate kept social circles, size or the natural ephemerality of active channels.
Something More/Different, Or Maybe the Same
Don’t get me wrong, it’s not like other creative platofrms don’t exist like Dribbble
