  "textContent": "A drug commonly used to treat type 2 diabetes has the added bonus of reducing the risk of prostate cancer, new research has found. For the study, published in Rejuvenation Research, researchers conducted a literature review of research from the past 10 years, covering 2.25 million patients with type 2 diabetes taking metformin. They found metformin use in people with type 2 diabetes was associated with a reduced risk of death, cardiovascular disease and dementia.",
