Daily doses of peppermint oil have been proved to lower blood pressure for patients with mildly high readings, new research has found. A team of University of Lancashire academics discovered a daily intake of 100 microliters of peppermint oil, taken twice a day over 20 days, lowered the systolic blood pressure (the top number in a blood pressure reading) by an average of 8.5mmHg.
