An increasing proportion of patients with heart failure receive a combination of four medications shown to improve prognosis and recommended in guidelines. However, there is still room for improving adherence and persistence to heart failure therapy, which appears linked to a lower risk of hospitalization for heart failure and cardiovascular death. These findings are shown by a new study from Karolinska Institutet published in the European Heart Journal.
