Newly found immune cells link strep throat to psoriasis

A common strep throat infection can trigger guttate psoriasis by altering the behavior of key immune cells, according to a new study from Karolinska Institutet published in eBioMedicine. The findings suggest how an infection can lead to sudden skin inflammation, particularly in children and young adults.
