"textContent": "augustss:\n\n> Why don’t you think you can compile MicroHs on your Windows machine?\n\nok i’ve spent half a day getting nowhere. the only `cl`, `nmake` i have is inside visual studio (if that makes any difference). I checked they were in my path.\n\n\n > nmake /F “C:\\…\\Makefile.windows”\n\n …\\config.h (56) : fatal error C1083: Cannot open include file: ‘inttypes.h’: No such file or directory\n …\n Stop\n\n\nLooking ahead, I see the Makefile also has a bunch of Cabal stuff. I don’t have/don’t want Cabal installed.\n\nI had thought this might go easier if I asked Vis Studio to build it. But all it said was “is up-to-date”.\n\nI’m reporting this experience as a public service. Don’t bother getting into a long dialogue of diagnostics. I’ve spent already too long fighting command lines. (Why Windows? — to answer the q upthread. Because i’m allergic to command lines.)\n\n**Addit:** i see inttypes.h is in my ghc install. Was i supposed to include that in my path? And what else?",
