Anti-LLM Sentiment Considered Harmful

Folks, if you don’t like LLMs, or find them useless, or more trouble than they’re worth, then just don’t use them. If you do find they help, then do use them. We’re all competent software developers here, and therefore all capable of deciding our own engineering processes and policies for our own projects, including best practices for LLM usage. Nobody’s forcing you to use AI, or any other tool or methodology, for your own open-source work. When evaluating a project, consider focussing on actual provided quality rather than wringing your hands over some particular process that is not in fact an indicator of poor quality. For Hackage packages, quality is usually pretty evident in the haddock in any case.
