I think the argument is large ecosystem gaps cause pretty motivated and prolific developers to leave the ecosystem. And it echoes their initial sentiment that writing Haskell is easier now cause you can patch up missing things to your taste. It’s a fairly easy argument to follow I think.
Open source has always been a loose collection of engaged individuals with diverse opinions.
“It would be nice if we all shared the same sentiment” seems like an interesting thought experiment, but it’s not really a proposal, nor does it seem like it can give rise to a productive discussion.
