  "textContent": "Not quite - `lawful` performs a check without performing the operation, and returns a boolean result as to whether or not it _would_ fail. You can then use that to choose to return `Nothing` if `Result r a b ~ Maybe c`, or throw an exception, etc.\n\nThis distinction is rather precise, I admit.",
