[Well-Typed Blog] Haskell ecosystem activities report: December 2025–February 2026

I’m very sad to see @mpickering leave the GHC team. His contributions are countless, but I specifically remember his relentless work on GHC performance and debugging and how much of an impression that left on us. In terms of project management he’s always been a voice of caution, proceeding with great care. I also enjoyed our rather recent interaction, where we’ve been discussing on how to overcome issues of open source coordination and culture. I hope there was enough time to at least transfer some of his expertise to the next generation of GHC developers, because it is a big loss. Thanks Matt and all the best for your new endeavors!
