  "textContent": "I’m very sad to see @mpickering leave the GHC team.\n\nHis contributions are countless, but I specifically remember his relentless work on GHC performance and debugging and how much of an impression that left on us.\n\nIn terms of project management he’s always been a voice of caution, proceeding with great care.\n\nI also enjoyed our rather recent interaction, where we’ve been discussing on how to overcome issues of open source coordination and culture.\n\nI hope there was enough time to at least transfer some of his expertise to the next generation of GHC developers, because it is a big loss.\n\nThanks Matt and all the best for your new endeavors!",
