"textContent": "FWIW you linked to a Reuters article about a METR study that suggested that use of AI slowed down developer productivity.\n\nMETR have more recently published an update that suggests things have improved since then, though their confidence intervals still include zero: We are Changing our Developer Productivity Experiment Design - METR\n\nIn particular, they suggest that the study underestimates AI productivity boosts because the people who benefit from it the most no longer want to participate in studies where they might get assigned the no-AI control group.",
