If you want all of quality, speed and self-hosting you need hundreds of GB of high-bandwitdh memory with dedicated interconnect and a frontier open model like K2.\n\nThe technology, per se, exists and it’s ~freely available for experimentation. If you are not driven by curiosity to experiment with it, it’s likely the case that some economic factor is pushing you to use it (your employer or their competition); in that case you are pressured to get the best tools money can buy, including (as the most common path of least resistance), renting tokens from a hyperscaler.",
