  "textContent": "Hello John,\n\nThank you very much for taking the time to write such a detailed and thoughtful response.\n\nI believe you have identified one of the central challenges of the project at this stage.\n\nMy initial instinct was to develop the theoretical framework first (PCE, and later EPE), but the more the project evolves, the more I agree that its long-term value will depend on its ability to become a reproducible experimental object rather than simply a conceptual framework.\n\nI particularly appreciated several points you raised:\n\n  * the need to separate different forms of coherence rather than treating coherence as a single metric;\n  * the importance of ablation studies, isometric control prompts, and explicit falsification criteria;\n  * the value of documenting failures and edge cases alongside successes;\n  * the usefulness of a gradual evidence ladder, from observable behavioral effects to mechanistic analysis of hidden-state dynamics.\n\n\n\nWhat I found especially valuable is that your analysis directly complements the experimental protocol section already included in the current EPE document. Many of the directions you suggest align closely with where I am trying to take the project next, and your comments help clarify several areas where the protocol can be strengthened further.\n\nI also fully agree with your broader point that experimentation ultimately matters more than theoretical expansion. For me, the key question is not whether PCE is “true” as a theory, but whether specific behavioral effects can be observed, measured, reproduced, challenged, and potentially falsified under controlled conditions.\n\nMy main limitation today is straightforward: I am an independent researcher and currently lack the computational resources required to conduct the full multi-model evaluation campaign described in the protocol.\n\nThat is precisely why I am trying to make the framework, the dilemma battery, the evaluation criteria, and the protocol as open and reproducible as possible.\n\nIf you—or anyone else in the community—were ever interested in implementing all or part of the protocol (evaluation runs, ablations, mechanistic analyses, or independent replications), I would be honored to collaborate.
